Centro Habana
In Centro Habana, the cost of rooms
per night bounces between 20-25 USD. This zone is noticeable for its high population, and
for being the most centric zone of the city. An industrial territorry with factories, big
stores and a high density of commerce. In this area of Havana there are historical,
cultural and touristic places, like Federico García Lorca Theater, the legendary
restaurant bar El Floridita (on the boundaries), Prado Street, ending at the shore, the
famous cigar factories Partagás and Montecristo, and the National Capitol. The most
important hotels in this municipality are Inglaterra, Plaza, and Parque Central.
It is important to mention the wide
variety of transportation options from/to any other place within the city. Private taxis,
and bici-taxis, very cheap, will allow you to move to any place for only a few dollars.
There are also a considerable number of private restaurants "paladares", where
you can have typical cuban food.
Centro Habana is, furthermore, a very important zone with plenty of the big commercial
stores, and the most active area in trade within Havana.
